Summer

Feeling down? Or maybe you're anxious or unfocused? What's up with you? Do you need to change your mood? Do you want to change your mood? I was checking out the C-IN2 U.com summer collection, which is amazingly rich and penetrating in color, and started thinking, "I wonder if changing the color of my undies will alter my mood?" I mean, if that simple action can change me from being down to up, from being unsure to confident, from being tired to energetic, it'd be a lot less time consuming and expensive than therapy!

Then I found this article by Carole Fogarty entitled Color Theraphy: Change your Underwear, Change your Mood and yes, it seems that it is true. Changing the color of that fashion article that holds the family jewels in place and caresses your posterior can have a positive affect on your mental state! Here's the skinny on colors according to Fogarty.

Red: it activates passions, your appetite and raises your level of energy. It boosts your immune system. (Are you feeling a cold coming on…the swine flu? Then reach for a pair of reds and call me in the morning!)

Orange: Going to a party or pot luck? Orange, which is considered to be a great color for social gatherings, is a fine choice. Orange generates feelings of optimism, warmth and fond wishes. Slip on a pair of undies in this Vitamin C connected color and start singing "We Are Family!"

Blue: Need to chill? Think clear, deep, pure water and sun-filled, cloudless skies. Yes, the color of Robert Redford's eyes can make you feel at peace while being quietly creative. If you want to activate the right side of your brain then cover your butt with blue undies.

Yellow: This is the Ginkgo Biloba of colors, promoting intellectual activity and clear, confident thoughts. You've heard of the Yellow Rose of Texas, the Yellow Brick Road and Tying a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree? Well wrap your trunk in yellow and you'll start to understand why blondes do have more fun.

Green: Green is born when you mix yellow and blue. Hmmmmm? Green is the color of money, it indicates growth and healing and green vegetables offer vitamins and minerals that are essential to good health. It's said that in the theatre actors first sat in a "green room," waiting to go on, because the color was thought to be calming. Green undies: they're not just for Saint Patrick's Day.

Purple: Offering calm and comforting feelings, purple also stimulates intuition. Want to meditate? Then dress down in your purple undies. It's considered to be a royal color, so if you want to feel like one-half of a royal couple adorn yourself in undies that Alexander the Great would have been proud to wear.

Here's my question: on the undies' color wheel, what shade picks you up, changes your emotions or stimulates your thinking and the most sensitive parts of your body? As winter approaches and seasonal mood disorder rears its ugly head, you may want to keep some summer colors within easy reach.
